Starting something old

I've played guitar and sung folk tunes since I was in high school.  We used to sit around by a lake and play and sing for hours.  Sometimes with the help of some cheap wine.

I just turned 71 and I'm retired.  Now and then along the way I had a spurt of writing my own songs, but never an effort like happened after attending a songwriting workshop with Cozy Sheridan back in 2020.  It was a ZOOM thing and at the end one of the participants asked the group if anyone wanted to keep using that process on a weekly call.  4 years later we still meet weekly to share, review, encourage and improve.  This website is a key outcome.

So although playing and singing, mostly for my own enjoyment, is something old for me, the writing is new and this sharing what I write even more so.  If you have feedback for me, or if one of these songs touches you somehow, I will enjoy reading your comments.
